Pony club
JK Vělopolí registered club, is offering 2 programs for children. The fundamental difference between them is in the leading of the pony.
Pony Pre-School
Suitable for beginners and small children. For the majority of the time, the pony is on a leash. The children can try their first independent steps on the pony in a small, fenced riding hall. The children are under the supervision of an experienced individual for the entire time. The children can participate in a race with a conductor.
The group is made up of approx. 4 children, 2 small ponies, 1 instructor. The recommended age category is 3 - 6 years.
Pony Club
The children work independently with the ponies. They lead the ponies on their own, clean them and ride by themselves in a large fenced area. They ride in accompaniment but without a conductor, on a ride out into the terrain. Based on the interest of the children, an instructor visits the club, who leads the children to stylish riding of various equestrian disciplines. The children can participate in races.
The group is made up of approx. 6 children, 3 ponies, 1 instructor. Suitable for an age category over the age of 7 and up to 55kg.
The Pony Club and the Pre-School Program are focused on obtaining practical and educational basics for the equestrian sport. Taking care of horses includes:
- Cleaning the stables
- Care of the pony
- Cleaning the equipment
- Riding on the pony with walking accompaniment into nature
- Training of basic equestrian skills
- Familiarization with the equestrian theory with the aid of children’s books and magazines
Occasional Events:
- Hobby races for small children (with a conductor) and for bigger children
- Tourism with ponies and welcomed accompaniment of parents
- Sport social events (Hubertík, St. Nicholas ride, ...)
- Sitting out at camp fires, speaking not only about horses
- Ride training on a pony with an external instructor
